Following a livestream that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did about the fate of Joe Biden’s administration, Sen. Elizabeth Warren answered concerns Saturday on MSNBC.

These worries stemmed from the idea that some might be hoping to hold Vice President Kamala Harris back from being the Democratic Party’s new candidate.

Private Conversations

In a nearly one-hour livestream Thursday night, Ocasio-Cortez discussed the private conversations politicians are having behind closed doors.

According to Ocasio-Cortez: “If you think that there is consensus among the people who want Joe Biden to leave, that Kamala, that they will support Kamala, Vice President Harris, you would be mistaken”

Warren Response

She went on to say: “I’m in these rooms. I see what they say in conversations. A lot of them are not just interested in removing the president — they are interested in removing the whole ticket.”

Warren stated, “So look, Joe Biden is our nominee,” in response to a question about the AOC video and “those who seek to leaprog Senator Harris” on MSNBC’s “The Weekend.”

“Ready to Step Up”

Warren continued by stating: “As I said before, he has a really big decision to make.”

“But what gives me a lot of hope right now is that if President Biden decides to step back, we have Vice President Kamala Harris, who is ready to step up, to unite the party, to take on Donald Trump and to win in November.”

Past Support

Warren highlighted the past support that voters have previously shown for Harris.

Hopeful Message

“Look, if you’re running against a convicted felon, then a prosecutor like Kamala is really a good person to make that case,” according to Warren.

Anonymous Statements

“If you think that is going to be an easy transition, I’m here to tell you that a huge amount of the donor class and these elites who are pushing for the president not to be the nominee also do not want to see the VP be the nominee,” Ocasio-Cortez went on to state.
